Description: In this tutorial, you learn the concepts of UV Unwrapping. You use UV Unwrapping when the conventional mapping methods for projecting textures on a 3D model are no longer sufficient. When a model is too complex for simple planar, cylindrical or spherical projections, then you need to unfold or unwrap the mesh in a way that it becomes easier to project a 2D image onto it. In this tutorial, you learn various workflows to unwrap UV coordinates as the process might differ between 3D objects. You don't unwrap a building the same way you unwrap a space ship or a three-legged creature, although the concepts remain the same.
