Retopology workflow inside 3ds max using the Graphite Modeling Tools (Polyboost)
The model was sculpted inside ZBrush and decimated to ~75k polys before exporting it to 3ds max.
I am using a 0.2 offset on the projection tools so I can keep the wireframe above the surface. In the end I'm using a -0.2 push modifier to bring the surface back.
