This tutorial uses 3ds max 2013 to create and animate a 3D text logo. The text is created using the Bevel modifier instead of the Extrude modifier, and the Slice modifier is used to have the text appear from nowhere, eventually being driven by an ExposeTransform helper object and the Wire Parameters dialog. This basic tutorial should be a good introduction to some new functionality, especially for beginning animators.
